Notarization & Guarantees
The purpose of having documents notarized can be for several reasons, often when these documents are required by specific statutes (like the Land Titles Act) or requested without a legal rational. The reasons could include proving one’s identity, swearing oaths, affidavits or statutory declarations, or proving original documents.
The following are the more common documents that require notarization in Alberta. These are just examples and so we would strongly recommend that you review the document that you need notarized before making your appointment, then let us know. Examples of documents that need notarizing are:
- Passport applications;
